System type

A complete system combines battery, inverter and accessories in one bundle, compatibility checked. Prefer picking parts separately? That works too.

Which system suits you?

That depends on your annual consumption, your grid connection and whether you already have solar panels. For an average family, 5 to 10 kWh of storage is often enough, for example a Sigenergy SigenStor bundle or a BYD battery with a matching inverter. If you use a lot of electricity, or want to expand in future, look at the larger packages.

How to choose: when is a bundle the right choice?

If you are just getting started with storage, have no strong brand preference and mainly want a working system without any fuss, a bundle is the logical route. A family with an annual consumption of 3,500 kWh and 10 solar panels would pick a 5 kWh bundle with a matching single-phase inverter, for example, everything tested for compatibility and ordered in one go. If, on the other hand, you already have an inverter from a specific brand and only want to add a battery, a bundle misses the point: you would be paying towards an inverter you will not use. Anyone who deliberately wants to combine the most expensive part from brand A with the cheapest from brand B is also better off with separate components. For a business setting with a three-phase connection and higher consumption, say 15,000 kWh a year, we often put together a larger bundle starting from 10 kWh of storage, with the exact specification agreed together.

Bundle versus separate components

AspectComplete bundleSeparate components
ConvenienceOne order, compatibility already checkedCombining and checking components yourself
FlexibilityFixed combination of battery and inverterFree choice per brand and component
Suitable forNew installation, no existing equipmentExpanding an existing system
PriceOften cheaper thanks to combined purchasingCan be cheaper if you already own some components

What does a complete system cost?

We cannot give a fixed price range here yet, the bundle price depends entirely on the chosen battery capacity, the type of inverter and whether you have a single-phase or three-phase connection. For an indication, look at the separate categories battery modules and hybrid inverters; the bundle price sits close to the sum of those components, often with a small advantage because we buy them in together.

What should you look out for?

A bundle is convenient because you do not have to puzzle it out yourself, but it is somewhat less flexible than picking separate components. If you specifically want to combine one brand of inverter with a battery from another brand, you are better off ordering separately. For most households, a bundle is in fact the quickest and safest route to a working system. A second catch: with a bundle you pay for the combination as we have put it together, not for the cheapest individual deal that might be found somewhere at any given moment. That is the price of convenience, and for most buyers it is worth it.

What is in a bundle?

  • Battery with a set capacity in kWh
  • Matching inverter, single-phase or three-phase
  • Cables, connectors and mounting materials

What do we take care of?

We put the bundle together based on your consumption and connection, deliver it at a sharp price and have the installation carried out by a certified installer to the Dutch NEN 1010 standard. If you also want to settle at dynamic rates, we can arrange an energy contract through our partner if you wish. No lock-in.

Frequently asked questions

Is a complete system more expensive than separate components?

Not necessarily, a bundle is often actually cheaper because the components are already matched to each other. Ordering separately can save money if you already own certain components.

Can I expand a bundle later?

With most systems here you can, extra battery modules can often be added afterwards. If in doubt, check the maximum expansion of the model you have chosen.

Is installation included in the price?

Not as standard, the bundle price covers the hardware. Installation by a certified installer can be booked separately.

What capacity do I need?

For an average family, 5 to 10 kWh is usually enough, but it depends on your annual consumption and whether you have solar panels. Send us your consumption figures and we will advise a suitable size.

Can I put together my own bundle from different brands?

Not as a single bundle in our standard collection, that would undo the pre-checked compatibility. If you do want to mix, order separate components via battery modules and hybrid inverters and we will check the combination for you.

What happens if a component in my bundle develops a fault?

Each component is covered by its own manufacturer's warranty, even within a bundle. So you do not have to return the whole bundle if only the inverter has a fault.
