This category contains DC cables, MC4 connectors, mounting brackets, backup boxes and other materials to connect and mount your battery or inverter. It is not a standalone product, but the finishing piece of an installation. Without the right accessories, even the best battery sits uselessly in the meter cupboard (the "meterkast" in Dutch homes).

Which accessories suit your setup?

That depends entirely on your main system. A SolaX inverter needs different connectors from a Huawei set, and a backup box only works with batteries that support backup power. If you buy a complete system from us, we automatically include the matching materials in your quote.

How to choose: which type of accessory goes with which system?

If you have only bought a battery module to expand an existing system, you mainly need mounting materials: fixing brackets, stacking frames and sometimes extension cables between the modules. With a hybrid inverter it mostly comes down to DC cables and MC4 connectors between the panels and the inverter, plus an AC connection cable to the meter cupboard. If you want your fridge, router or entire house to keep running during a power cut, you need a backup box, and you should only buy one if your main system actually supports backup power. An example: a family with a Sigenergy SigenStor who want the whole house to keep running during a power cut will need a backup box and matching cabling alongside the battery, quickly adding up to several hundred euros.

What do accessories cost?

We deliberately do not give a fixed price range here, it would paint the wrong picture. A single extension cable costs a few euros, a complete backup box with changeover relay quickly runs to several hundred euros. The price depends almost entirely on your main system and on what you want from it: simply connecting things up is cheap, a full backup power supply is an investment in itself. Send us your brand and model and we will work out the exact costs for your situation.

What should you look out for?

To be honest: if you are browsing here without a specific brand or model in mind, you will probably pick the wrong part. Cable lengths, connections and bracket sizes differ per manufacturer and sometimes per production year of the same model. If you order materials separately, always tell us the exact type of your existing installation. We regularly see people order a universal cable that looks almost identical to the original, only to find during mounting that the connection does not quite fit. That costs time and sometimes a second shipment, something one phone call beforehand will prevent.

What do we take care of?

We work out with you which accessories your battery or inverter needs, deliver them with the main order and, if you wish, have the mounting carried out by a certified installer to the Dutch NEN 1010 standard. That way you avoid being stuck with the wrong materials.

Can I order accessories from you without buying a battery?

You can, but only if you know for certain which brand and model you already have. If in doubt, get in touch and we will look up the right part for you.

Is a backup box always necessary?

No, only if you want certain sockets or your whole house to keep running on battery power during a power cut. Not every battery system supports this.

Do cables from one brand fit another brand's equipment?

Sometimes, via adapters, but that is not always advisable for warranty and safety reasons. We check the compatibility before recommending anything.

What does mounting of accessories cost?

That depends on the size of the job and your situation on site. Request a quote and we will work it out for you.

Can I use mounting materials to expand my battery later?

With most modular systems you can, as long as you stick to the same brand and the same model series. If in doubt, send us your current configuration and we will check whether the expansion frame fits.

Do I need separate accessories if I buy a complete system from you?

No, with a complete system the matching materials are already included in the bundle. Only with separate components, such as individual battery modules or a separate hybrid inverter, do you put the accessories together yourself or have us work them out for you.
