myenergi Libbi 315-sh 3.68kW inverter 15kWh battery (complete)

The myenergi Libbi 315-sh is a complete home battery with 15 kWh of storage and a 3.68 kW hybrid inverter. This version suits households with fairly high evening consumption, for example from electric cooking, a heat pump or regular home charging.
The battery stores solar power you don't use straight away during the day. Later in the day the system feeds that energy back into your home. You can also charge the Libbi from the grid at times you choose. The myenergi app shows what is being generated, stored, bought in and fed back to the grid.
What can you do with this Libbi?
15 kWh for a heavy consumption profile
This version sits at the larger end of the 3.68 kW series. That gives you more headroom when you use a lot of electricity in the evening or regularly have a sizeable solar surplus during the day.
Can be installed AC-coupled or DC-coupled
According to the manufacturer, Libbi supports both setups. So the system can be included in a new solar panel installation or added as storage to an existing one. The installer decides which connection is technically correct.
Works with the myenergi ecosystem
Libbi can distribute stored energy within a setup with myenergi devices, such as a zappi charge point or eddi diverter. The final control setup depends on the chosen installation and settings.
Expansion is already built into the series
The Libbi series runs from 5 to 20 kWh. So you don't pick the largest version straight away just because it sounds better. The right size follows from your consumption, your solar yield and the power you can actually use.
3.68 kW of power and 15 kWh of storage
Those two numbers do different things. The 15 kWh tells you how much energy the system can nominally store. The 3.68 kW is the inverter's nominal AC output. A large battery can deliver energy for a long time, but the inverter determines how much power is available at any given moment.
The battery modules use LFP cell chemistry. According to the datasheet, the battery and inverter have an IP65 rating. The separate controller has to be mounted indoors. An optional backup connection for a separate socket or lighting circuit is possible, but requires extra installation work. Don't treat this as automatic backup power for your whole home.
Compare the Libbi 3.68 kW series
| Model | Storage | Inverter | When does it make sense? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Libbi 305-sh | 5 kWh | 3.68 kW | A small solar surplus or modest evening consumption |
| Libbi 310-sh | 10 kWh | 3.68 kW | The popular mid-size choice for a family |
| Libbi 315-shThis model | 15 kWh | 3.68 kW | Higher evening consumption or a larger daily surplus |
| Libbi 320-sh | 20 kWh | 3.68 kW | Only with demonstrably high consumption or a large surplus |
Capacity and inverter power come from the myenergi Libbi datasheet, revision 6 of March 2023, and have been checked against the product attributes in the shop.
Who is 15 kWh a sensible size for?
This Libbi is meant for a household that can store plenty of energy during the day and actually uses it later. If you only have a small solar surplus, part of the battery will often sit unused. Sounds odd, but the 10 kWh version can then make more financial sense. That is why we look at your quarter-hourly meter readings or annual consumption, your solar panels and your meter cupboard (the "meterkast" in Dutch homes) before recommending a size.
The installation has to suit the existing electrical situation and is carried out to the Dutch NEN 1010 standard. If you want smart charging on hourly prices, that can be included without being tied to a single energy contract. Frequently asked questions
Is 15 kWh the usable capacity?
No. The model name refers to 15 kWh of nominal battery capacity. The manufacturer specifies 5.12 kWh of energy capacity and 4.6 kWh of usable capacity per 5 kWh module. We do not lump those figures together without checking the final system configuration.
What is the difference between 3.68 kW and 15 kWh?
kW is about power at any given moment. kWh is about the amount of stored energy. The inverter delivers a nominal 3.68 kW, while the battery configuration is listed as the 15 kWh model in the series.
Can this Libbi be added to existing solar panels?
According to the datasheet, Libbi supports both AC and DC coupling. Which route suits your installation depends on the existing inverter, cabling, circuits and the control you want. We check that beforehand.
Do I automatically have electricity during a power cut?
No. Backup is optional and has to be wired separately to a dedicated socket or lighting circuit. The manufacturer states that this comes with extra installation costs. Full home backup is not automatically included.
Can the battery charge from the grid during cheap hours?
Yes, the Libbi can charge from the grid at set times and takes time-of-use or dynamic tariffs into account. The result depends on your contract, settings, consumption and available storage capacity.
Add installation right away?
If the battery sits inside the home and the route stays within 10 metres, have a look at the basic package. For a shed, garage or a longer route there is the extended package. Both apply up to and including 10 kW. Additional work is only added after it has been recorded on the signed work order.
