18.08 kWh home battery with hybrid inverter, single-phase

Two SigenStor Battery 10.0 modules, each 9.04 kWh, 18.08 kWh together, controlled by one Sigen Energy Controller 6.0 kW for single-phase use. The same inverter as the smallest package in this range, just with two modules underneath instead of one.

For most households with solar panels and no heat pump this is already generously sufficient, and for a household with a heat pump often the minimum to get through a cloudy day without buying in. If you only have solar panels and modest consumption, this capacity will probably not be fully used in summer. No disaster, but something to weigh up before choosing this size over the smaller one.

That the Energy Controller can handle multiple modules at once isn't a loose claim on our part: the installation manual of the single-phase system states this literally, even though you're starting with two. Two modules on this inverter is therefore a setup the manufacturer itself provides for.

The price of this package follows the same sum as every package in this range: inverter and both modules added up separately, rounded down. Ordering the same three components separately doesn't cost you less, just more hassle.
