Accessories
What belongs here?
Two kinds of items, with a very different purpose. On one side the measuring and control side: data loggers, energy controllers and gateways that read out and steer your installation. On the other side the mounting material, in this case the frames a commercial battery cabinet is placed on. Both essential on handover day, and both the kind of item people forget to order along with the rest.
Measuring and steering
On a commercial roof with ten or twenty inverters, you do not want to check an app per device. A data logger such as the EzLogger 3000C gathers the data from up to a hundred inverters and puts it in one portal, so a fault stands out before yield has lagged for months. An energy controller goes a step further and intervenes: it can limit the export to the grid, for instance, or steer to your contracted power. The Sigen Energy Gateway HomePro TP belongs to the Sigenergy system and handles the grid connection there.
| Type | What it does | When you need it |
|---|---|---|
| Data logger | reading out and forwarding to a portal | multiple inverters, remote monitoring |
| Energy controller | measuring and actively limiting or steering | export limiting, steering to contracted power |
| Gateway | link between the system and the grid connection | belongs to a specific brand system |
Mounting and setup
The frames in this category are not general mounting material but belong to a specific cabinet: there is a frame for the SolaX Aelio 50-B100, one for the Trene P100K-B215 and Aelio, and one for the liquid-cooled Trene P125K-B261. Order the frame that matches your model, since they are not interchangeable. If the system stands outdoors or on a floor that is not level, mention that in your request. We will then check whether more is needed than the standard frame.
What to watch out for
Almost everything here is brand-specific. A logger from one manufacturer does not read out another manufacturer's inverters, however logical that would be. Tell us at your request which inverters and batteries are in place or coming, and we will find the matching item.
And one honest catch: with a single inverter on a small commercial roof, a separate data logger is usually overkill. The built-in wifi or the inverter's own app then simply does what you need. Such a logger only becomes worthwhile from about five devices, or when someone needs to professionally monitor the installation.
What we take care of
We check that the accessories match the inverter or battery you have or are ordering, and deliver them together with the rest, so the installer does not get stuck halfway. Looking for metering and control for a home instead of a commercial building? See meters and control. The related systems are under commercial batteries and commercial inverters.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a data logger if my inverter already has wifi?
With one or two inverters usually not. Once you have multiple devices or want to monitor the installation remotely, one portal with all the data becomes a lot more practical than separate apps.
Does an energy controller work with every inverter brand?
Usually not. Controllers are generally tied to the brand they belong to. Tell us your brand and we will find out what fits.
Is the mounting frame included with the battery cabinet?
No, the frame is a separate item. Order the model that matches your cabinet, they are not interchangeable.
Can I limit my export to the grid with a controller?
Yes, that is one of the standard applications. On a connection where the grid operator imposes a limit, it is often even mandatory to be allowed to connect the installation.
Can you supply the accessories separately?
Yes. Even if you bought the system itself elsewhere, you can order the matching accessories here. Just tell us the exact type.
